Greenhouse

Terms of Service

Last updated: June 10, 2026

Plain-language summary: Greenhouse is a golf scorecard that stores your rounds on your own device. There are no accounts. Course data comes from a third party and may be wrong. Anything you publish to IPFS is public and may be permanent. The app is provided “as is.”

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Greenhouse mobile app and the greenhouse.land website (together, the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. What Greenhouse is

Greenhouse is a simple, local-first golf scorecard. You record your score hole-by-hole, and your rounds are saved on your device. There are no user accounts, and no login is required.

2. Your rounds and your data

  • Rounds you record are stored locally on your device. We do not host a copy and do not require an account to use the app.
  • If you delete the app or clear its data, your rounds are gone. Because we don’t keep a copy, we cannot recover them for you.
  • The app generates a key on your device used to stamp your rounds. It stays on your device.

3. Course information

Course details (names, pars, yardages) are provided by a third-party data provider and are passed through “as is.” This information may be incomplete, outdated, or inaccurate — do not rely on it for anything important. Greenhouse is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, the golf courses listed.

4. Sharing and publishing to IPFS

  • You can share a round via a link. Anyone with that link can view the round’s scorecard.
  • You can optionally publish a round to IPFS, a public, content-addressed network. Publishing uploads that round’s data (course, tee, pars, scores, and dates) to the public network through a pinning service.
  • Once published, content on IPFS is public and may be copied, cached, and kept by others indefinitely. We can stop pinning it on our service, but we cannot guarantee its removal from the network. Do not publish anything you would not want to be public and permanent.

5. Acceptable use

Don’t use the Service to break the law, infringe others’ rights, interfere with or disrupt the Service, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or the course-data provider. Don’t reverse-engineer or abuse the Service except to the extent the law permits.

6. Intellectual property

The Service — including its software, design, and the “Greenhouse” name and branding — is owned by us and protected by applicable law. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks. The round data you create is yours.

7. No warranty

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or accuracy of course data. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data (including rounds stored on your device), arising out of or relating to your use of the Service.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we’ll revise the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
